Hello my name is Erik B and I’m happy that you’ve found me and invited me to join. I’ve recently decided or have come to realize that my calling in life is to offer and share my knowledge and experience with psychedelics to those looking for some guidance.

I will admit that I’m a tad skeptical about some of these groups as I’ve recently had a poor taste left in my mouth with another group that I will not name because others may not have the same experience and might find that group to be quite beneficial on their journey.
I’m looking forward to meeting the others here and I’m happy to share my knowledge and experiences with the rest of you. I’m also eagerly looking forward to learning from your knowledge and experiences as I’m quite aware that there’s much I can learn from the rest of you.

Good afternoon everyone 🤨
So I found this beautiful place, looking for a class that my son 16yo and myself could do together. I homeschool & felt what we learn here could help in so many different aspects of life. My son will focus mostly on medical mushrooms & I the journey work variety.
Anyway, I asked grok to create a Pokémon style card for the class. It created these for me. Once I figure out the other 2 my son will do, I’ll add those to the stack, probably Turkey tail & Maitake.

Hi everyone! My name is Paula Francesca I’m originally from Ecuador, and I now live in Georgia, USA
Growing up in Ecuador meant growing up surrounded by mountains, medicinal plants, artists, musicians, and indigenous traditions. During my childhood, my mother would send me to spend months in the Ecuadorian Amazon, where I learned to observe nature with curiosity and respect.
One of my favorite teenage memories is hiking in the Pululahua volcanic dead crater and discovering a place covered in wild mushrooms I was mesmerized Looking back, I don’t think I found the mushrooms… I think the mushrooms found me. I remember standing there completely fascinated. Looking back, I think that’s where my lifelong love for fungi truly began.
Over the years, my path has been shaped by lived experience, traditional knowledge, and supporting people through meaningful personal experiences. Mushrooms have transformed my own life and deepened my respect for nature.
Six years ago, I moved to the United States. In many ways, it feels like starting over. Sometimes I joke that I feel like a jaguar in an American zoo I know who I am, but I’m still learning how to navigate this new environment.
I’ve spent years learning through lived experience and traditional knowledge. Now I’m here to understand the science behind what I’ve loved my whole life.
This is my first step toward building a strong academic foundation in mycology, connecting with people who share this passion, and finding a community where I can keep learning and growing.
I’m grateful to be here, and I’m looking forward to learning from all of you. 🍄

I'm still in school, so I hope to become a mycologist when I grow up :D
